SPACE, Inc., a woman-owned small business, has been approved as a qualified vendor under a 5-year Emergency Acquisition Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with the federal government’s General Services Administration (GSA).
After being invited to submit a solution-based capability statement, SPACE was selected to be one of the qualified vendors that will assist Federal agencies such as the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in the rapid procurement and delivery of supplies and services both in anticipation of and response to emergencies.
SPACE, Inc. was specifically selected to assist FEMA with their SPACE Facility Armor™ solution which kills 99% of microbes on porous and non-porous surfaces as well as prevents them from repopulating those surfaces between cleanings.
This CDC-approved, hospital grade disinfectant is followed by an electrostatically charged antimicrobial technology. It’s water-based and EPA-accepted for all spaces, including food service and healthcare.
Saharnaz Pena, Director of Business Development stated, “As a leader in work space design we took on the responsibility to rethink the future of work during and after the pandemic. One major part of returning to the office is ensuring the health and safety of our teams. With SPACE Facility Armor we adapted 30 years of science that had been developed in a healthcare setting and are applying it in all work spaces. We have been working with the federal government for decades and look forward to assisting FEMA in their mission in “helping people before, during and after disasters.”
