King’s Daughters and Sons Community Christmas Closet seeks to provide new clothing at Christmas time to school children from low income families living in Midland County.
Clothing is purchased using monies donated by individuals, foundations, churches, clubs, and organizations. We are proud that 100% of all donations are used to purchase clothing for children. Any money leftover at the end of the Community Christmas Closet year is transferred to the School Closet.
We invite you to come join United Way of Midland County for another season of sharing and caring in our community. United Way’s Sharing Tree program collects and distributes over 8,000 gifts valued at over $300,000. Whether children need warm coats and gloves for the winter, a mother wants a movie for family night, or a father needs transportation vouchers so he can get to work, there are plenty of opportunities to bring joy to those in need in the Midland community.
Would you like to make a difference in someone’s life while meeting new people and creating special memories? If so, volunteering at a MidMichigan affiliate may be just the experience you’re looking for.
As a non-profit organization, MidMichigan Health is dedicated to fulfilling health care needs in the middle of Michigan. Volunteers enhance the care we provide by assisting our staff and by adding a personal touch that patients, residents and families really appreciate. At the same time, they develop new skills, experience the warmth of helping others and form lasting friendships.
